Bonjour cupcakes! Yes, it is another Dior Beauty review. I recently read rave reviews of the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation and also saw that they had just launched a primer. So I had to purchase it and try it out.

Having worked as a makeup artist, I like to stay up to date on new product releases, even if I don’t wear makeup myself. Although, I must admit that in my teens and twenties I actually did wear foundation and makeup on a regular basis.

These days I go au naturale, or if my skin is looking really rough, I will do a little blurring primer topped with some color correcting powder. So after reading about the Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer, I had to try it out.

What They Say:

The Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer is a lightweight, universal primer that helps makeup last longer, blurs imperfections, and delivers up to 24 hours of hydration for an enhanced complexion.

BACKSTAGE is a collection of makeup-artist essentials, designed to suit all skin tones, used at the Dior runway shows, and inspired by the energy backstage. This primer creates a naturally-enhanced, even, and luminous complexion for a touch-up effect and foundation that lasts all day.

My Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer Review:

I love the packaging of this primer. It is a very lightweight plastic bottle with a minimalist design. Even better, it has a locking cap that makes this great for travel.

The texture is a thick liquid consistency and it has a pale yellow/beige like color. I find that it squeezes out perfectly from the tip of the bottle. So you get the exact amount you need, whether it is small or large. I squeeze it out on the back of my hand and use my fingers to apply it.

The interesting thing about this product is that is absorbs into the skin VERY quickly. So I apply it in small amounts to areas I need it, blend it out, and then move onto to another area. I would not apply this all over and then try to go back and blend it in.

It does a beautiful job of minimizing pores and blurring imperfections. It even helped neutralize some redness in my skin. It gives a very nice natural looking, semi matte finish. Alone, it is like your skin but better. Giving a lit from within glow while blurring imperfections in your skin.

I’m really in love with this primer. I will be reviewing this again shortly while using it with the matching foundation, so stay tuned for that. To see my first impressions and a more in-depth review of the Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer, please watch the video below.
