Caudalie has been one of my favorite brands for almost 20 years. As part of my cosmetic industry work experience, I used to work at Blue Mercury, which stocks Caudalie. I became familiar with the brand then and have been a loyal customer of the brand ever since.
When I transitioned into only using clean beauty products, I was so excited to learn that Caudalie is one of the best clean beauty brands on the market today. In fact, a lot of their products are 95% or more natural ingredients. In fact, in addition to the grape polyphenols used, they also use natural ingredients such as: vegetable oils, natural butters, essential oils, floral and botanical waters, and plant and fruit extracts. In addition to the amazing natural ingredients that they do put in, even more important is what they leave out. Caudalie does not use endocrine disrupting preservatives such as parabens and pheonxyethanol or other irritating ingredients like SLS, etc.
Caudalie was founded in the 90s by Matilde and Thomas Bertrand. Mathilde’s parents owned a vineyard in Bourdeaux, France where she became curious about the how to use the skins and seeds from the grapes in skincare. Working with a lab director for the Pharmacy University of Bourdeaux she learned that the grape skin and seeds contain powerful anti-oxidants.
Caudalie was the first skincare brand to use the grape seed polyphenols. These polyphenols protect the skin against free radical damage as well as preserve the natural moisture balance levels in skin. A lot of the Caudalie skincare also contains Resveratrol, as we will see in some of the products I’m reviewing today. Resveratrol comes from the grapevine and helps to firm skin, resculpt the contours of the face, and prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
In the past I used some of the more basic skincare for normal skin from Caudalie. But now my skin has changed and I have different concerns and needs. I decided to try more of the anti aging lines from Caudalie such as the Resveratrol and Premier Cru lines. So let’s dive into the reviews.
Caudalie Vinoclean Makeup Cleansing Oil

What They Say:
This anti-oxidant rich cleansing oil nourishes and instantly dissolves makeup, including waterproof. Enriched with castor oil to enhance lash growth and never leaving a greasy finish. Perfect for effective and fast make-up removal without using cotton pads.
Composed of 100% natural origin nourishing plant oils (sweet almond, castor, grape seed and sunflower oils).
Its oil texture transforms into a milk on contact with water for easy and fast rinsing without leaving a greasy film on the skin. Its natural sweet almond fragrance makes make-up removal a really enjoyable moment of well-being.
My Review:
I tend to use cleansing oils more than other types of cleansers because of my dry and sensitive skin. I really love this one because it is so lightweight. I massage this into dry skin, add a little water it becomes a more milky texture, and I rinse off. I don’t ever feel the need to do a double cleanse after using this which is nice. Some oil cleansers are so heavy that they leave a residue, but this one does not. I love the texture, clean scent, and it does a great job of cleansing without drying out my skin. I will definitely keep this in my routine.
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Eye Firming Gel Cream

What They Say:
A firming and de-puffing eye cream formulated with new patented Resveratrol, hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen alternative to visibly reduce the look of wrinkles, and peptides to visibly smooth and redefine the eye contour. Formulated without fragrance for the delicate eye area.
Composed with more than 97% natural origin ingredients, its fragrance-free fine and rich gel-cream texture melts into the skin without leaving a greasy finish.
My Review:
First of the texture of this is fabulous. It instantly brightens and smoothes the undereye area. I can not really speaking to the lifting and firming benefits of my eyes are more sunken in so I dont have a lot of puffiness etc. I do think my eye area looks smoother, brighter, and more lifted. I really love this eye cream and a little bit goes a long way with this one, so while it is expensive, I do think it is worth the price.
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Instant Firming Serum

What They Say:
This serum is powered by Caudalie’s exclusive patent Resveratrol + hyaluronic acid + vegan collagen alternative, proven to be 2x more effective than retinol to visibly firm skin at the serum concentration. It is a clean and non-irritating retinol alternative. Facial contours look visibly smoothed.
Composed with more than 97% natural origin ingredients, it’s oil-free and its silky texture melts into the skin without leaving a greasy finish.
Its aromatic scent leaves the skin lightly fragranced with notes of basil, lemongrass, chamomile, thyme and orange blossom.
My Review:
In all honestly, I do feel since switching back to Caudalie, my skin looks amazing. However, I can’t really tell if this serum is doing a whole lot. For the price, I would expect better results. Plus, I use other anti-aging serums like Bakuchiol, Vitamin C, peptides, etc.
I don’t think this is a product that I will continue using because I’m not noticing much for the price.
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Firming Cashmere Cream

What They Say:
A daily moisturizer to visibly firm, lift and reduce the look of wrinkles with patented Resveratrol, hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen alternative.
Powered by Caudalie’s exclusive patent Resveratrol + hyaluronic acid + vegan collagen alternative to visibly firm skin, this daily moisturizer provides a visible instant lift and nourishes with its delightful soft texture. The formula is enriched with mineral pearlizers for an instant glow.
Composed with more than 97% natural origin and sensorial ingredients, this cream rich in phospholipids is as soft as cashmere on the skin.
My Review:
I’m obsessed with this cream. The texture is really like cashmere and feels amazing on the skin. Again, I cant speak much to lifting but my skin does appear smoother. The main thing I love about this is the hydration. My skin feels so soft, and I have had zero eczema breaks out since switching back to Caudalie skincare. I will keep this in my routine and I have been using this as my day cream since picking up the next few products. Love this cream and highly recommend you try it out.
Caudalie Premier Cru The Cream

What They Say:
Both luxurious and effective, Premier Cru The Cream delivers the ultimate anti-aging action for the skin, revealing a beautifully youthful complexion. The creamy texture melts into the skin to leave it feeling velvety soft, smoothed and hydrated. The powerful formula regenerates the skin, restores its density and smoothes wrinkles to reveal a firmer, more radiant complexion and redefined facial contours.
Its lightweight texture leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.
Its signature fragrance combines subtle notes of rose petals infused in an oak barrel.
My Review:
I have only been using this for about two weeks so the verdict is still out. As I mentioned, my skin is looking better than it has in awhile since switching back to Caudalie. I cant tell yet if this is making any difference in my skin. It is a very thick texture but my main complaint with this is that it is hard to spread. Its not that it is not hydrating enough, it is just hard to spread so I feel myself using more than probably necessary. And at this price point, which is very high, I don’t want to waste this product. There is a richer version of this cream that I may switch over to. I am mostly using the Premier Cru line at night and I am looking forward to trying more from this line since I love the next product so much.
Caudalie Premier Cru The Precious Oil

What They Say:
Perfect marriage between luxury and efficacy, this dry oil melts into the skin to deliver custom-made ultimate anti-aging action. The appearance of wrinkles is reduced, the skin looks firmer and the complexion radiant.
This unique dry oil is quickly absorbed for a non-greasy finish. The signature fragrance combines subtle notes of rose petals infused in an oak barrel.
My Review:
Hands down, this is my new favorite facial oil. Being so dry and sensitive, facial oils work really well for me. This is light but super nourishing and hydrating. It doesn’t sit heavy on the skin like other facial oils tend to. I use this at night on top of my moisturizer and the next day my skin looks brighter, firmer, and definitely more radiant. My skin is always glowing in the morning after using this the night before.
This is the product that made me want to try the Premier Cru Cream and I am interested in trying more from this line. I will be using the Resveratrol Lift line in the morning and the Premier Cru line at night. This oil is pretty expensive but a little bit goes a long way and the results are worth the price in my opinion. Going forward this will most likely be the only facial oil I use. I just love it so much!
Caudalie Vinofresh Deodorant

What They Say:
Its unique formula is made up of 98% natural origin ingredients and is guaranteed aluminium-free, alcohol-free, silicone-free and baking soda-free. Effective for 24 hours, its stick format is easy to use: it acts in one go without leaving traces or blocking pores.
This natural 24 hour deodorant is powered by Organic fresh-scent Eucalyptus and prebiotic Grape Water to control odor, hydrate, and support a healthier underarm flora. Never leaving a sticky residue or white cast and suitable for sensitive skin and pregnant women.
At the core of its formula: organic grape water with hydrating, soothing and prebiotic which contributes to healthy looking skin.
Organic eucalyptus, with a unisex fragrance, gives you a feeling of invigorating fragrance throughout the day and suits women and men.
My Review:
My search for a deodorant that worked well for me and didn’t irritate my under arm area is what got me to switch to only using clean beauty products. My favorite clean deos are Weleda and Kosas, but this is a new favorite. I am not a fan of the scent really, because it seems plasticy to me, but this works well. Keeps me fresh and odor free all day without any irritation or discomfort. Highly recommend!
Caudalie Vinosculpt Lift and Firm Body Cream

What They Say:
This whipped cream powered by an effective blend of grape polyphenols and iris extracts visibly tightens your body and leaves the skin deeply nourished and delicately scented with an infusion of orange blossom.
Enriched in anti-oxidant grapeseed polyphenols and firming iris extract, the Vinosculpt Lift & Firm Body Cream has proven efficacy on 4 key areas of the body: stomach, buttocks, chest, and arms for visibly firmed effect from the first month of use*. Skin is smooth, toned and visibly firmer. Organic shea butter maintains the skin’s hydration, an essential element for elastin suppleness.
Its whipped and creamy texture absorbs easily without leaving a greasy film.
My Review:
I don’t know about the lifting and firming but this is a rich body cream that hydrates really well. I love the texture and the scent is light and pleasant. I can’t say too much more about this as I don’t use it regularly. I am not super impressed so honestly, I probably won’t buy this again.
