Five Things I’m Loving Right Now #3: Spring 2019 Edition

It has been a minute since I’ve shared what I’m currently obsessing over. My last “Five Things I’m Loving Right Now” post was actually back in October! I think it is high time for a Spring Edition, don’t you agree?

Below are five things that I’m currently obsessing over and have fallen head over heels in love with. These posts are different than my Favorite videos that I do because the Five Things usually includes things not as tangible as products. It includes experiences that I have had recently and fallen in love with. So here we go…

1. Mrs. Meyer’s Peony Scent

Peonies are probably my favorite flowers every. I love the colors, how they look so dainty, they way the bloom, the beautiful pale pink color and of course the way they smell. So when I saw the new Peony Scented line from Mrs. Meyer’s recently at Target, I had to stock up on everything. I bought the hand soap, dish soap, room spray and the all purpose cleansing spray.

The scent is absolutely divine. It is a very pleasing light floral. I love using the cleansing spray on my kitchen counters and a little bit to dust the furniture in the living room. It leaves my whole house scented like peonies. Gorgeous. Pick yours up at Target now before it’s gone for good.

2. Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

I know right?! “Florals for spring? How groundbreaking!” The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is my absolute most favorite time at any of the parks, all year long. The whole park is transformed with brightly colored gardens, topiaries depicting all of our favorite characters and amazing food booths. What is not to love?

The park is covered in just about every area with beautiful flowers. Their gorgeous scents linger in the air as you walk by. The whole world just seems brighter and more beautiful with flowers in them. It really is a celebration of Spring.

3. Floral Print Shirts from SSLR

While searching for a cute floral print shirt to wear to the Flower and Garden Festival, I discovered this beautiful hibiscus printed button down shirt from the brand SSLR. I had never heard of the brand before, but I will definitely be buying more of their apparel.

The fit of this shirt is perfect, the material is light-weight and breathable as well as soft and luxurious feeling to the touch. Every little detail, right down to the pearl like buttons rimmed in rose gold is just pure perfection. AND…this shirt was only $24.00!! It has become one of my favorite shirts and I will be wearing it a lot over Spring and Summer this year, because it looks good and keeps me cool.

4. Tervis Cups

Okay, I know I’m late to the game here with Tervis Cups, but I don’t ever recall seeing them while living up North. However, here in Florida, it seems like everyone has one and carries them everywhere. So I’ve been on the hunt for my first one to see what all the fuss is about. I was even more interested in picking one up when I learned they are a third generation family owned Florida business.

I picked up this Minnie Tervis cup from the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival and used it for the first time today. I’m already in love! It is so handy to carry and kept my water cool all day long. I can see this becoming a real addiction and I might have to start collecting more of these little beauty.

5. An Autumn Palette

Does anyone recall Color Me Beautiful from the 90s? Where they would match you up with the ideal colors you should wear based on your hair color, eye color and skin tone? I had it done in college as part of a Fashion Marketing class and was a Spring. But I was very fair and had blonde hair back then.

I recently took it online and was surprised to see that the Autumn Palette was recommending for me. I have neutral skin tones with olive undertones, hazel eyes that change from green to blue based on what I’m wearing and my hair is now a darker shade that is mixed with dark blonde, light brown and red. Even though I have was surprised by this recommendation, I’ve been having fun trying out colors that I normally don’t wear or even find myself drawn to. It’s good to break out of your comfort zone every once in awhile. And I have to mention that I get the most compliments when I’m wearing greens and burgundy, which are Autumn colors.
